Air Services in Alice Springs
From general plumbing to civil works and drainage solutions, we deliver reliable service across Alice Springs and remote NT regions.
Serving Remote NT
As Alice Springs’ only plumbing company providing an air service, SDA Plumbing can tackle problems within a 1,000km radius of the city.
Managing director Scott Anderson employs pilots and also pilots the company’s Cessna 182 or Cirrus SR22 aircraft, each of which can fit four people if necessary for bigger jobs.
Once Scott and his team have their feet on the ground, they provide all of the plumbing services you would expect, including fixing electric, solar and gas-fired hot water systems, and clearing blocked drains.
Able to respond at short notice, we provide a quick turnaround to help the Territory’s remote businesses remain open.
It's Our Territory
SDA Plumbing’s experience and rapid airborne response has earned it commercial contracts with the Northern Territory government.
Because we can get on site within three hours, our team has a remote housing contract with the Territory, unblocking sewers, working on water mains and performing general plumbing services. We also focus on indigenous communities.
SDA Plumbing carries out plumbing works for Southern Region police stations while medical clinics 500km away are also no problem.
As a service-based business, we take pride in providing a prompt and professional service with a high standard of workmanship. Call us today to discuss your needs.

FAQ
When are air services used for plumbing work?
Air services are typically used when a site cannot be accessed quickly or safely by road due to distance, terrain or weather conditions. This is common for remote communities, government facilities or infrastructure located far from major centres. Air access allows plumbing issues to be addressed sooner, reducing service disruption. It is often critical for time-sensitive repairs involving water supply, sewer systems or essential facilities.
What types of plumbing work can be carried out at air-access sites?
General plumbing tasks such as repairs to water lines, blocked sewers, maintenance and system inspections can be completed at air-access locations. Equipment and materials are selected to suit transport limitations while still allowing effective work to be completed on site. This enables essential services to be restored without waiting for lengthy ground access. More complex work may be staged depending on site conditions and logistics.
Why is rapid response important for remote plumbing issues?
Plumbing failures in remote locations can quickly impact health, safety and daily operations, particularly in housing, clinics or essential service facilities. Limited local resources mean issues may escalate if not addressed promptly. Faster access helps minimise downtime and prevents further damage to infrastructure. Early intervention can also reduce the scale and cost of follow-up repairs.
